If you choose to pre-book your lunch, you will not waste time during the tour and will enjoy a complete traditional meal at one of our hand-picked local restaurants, which will include: One main dish (choice of one): Armenian BBQ (khorovats) — chicken or pork with roasted potatoes; kebab with potatoes; tolma — grape leaves stuffed with spiced beef and herbs; or freshly prepared fish with rice. Two fresh salads: Caesar, Greek, tabbouleh, Olivier, fresh cabbage or others. Traditional sides: assorted Armenian cheeses, platters of fresh seasonal greens, bread and traditional lavash. Drinks and dessert: tea or traditional Eastern coffee, still and sparkling water, seasonal fruit or a local dessert. Please: if you have any food preferences or allergies, write them in the "Food restrictions" field when you place your order. Otherwise we will choose the restaurant's most popular signature dish. Halal is available on request at every restaurant we use — ask for it in the same field and the pork options are replaced.

Six stops that between them cover a pagan temple, a rock-cut monastery, a bread oven, a basalt canyon and the largest lake in the country. The day begins with the Arch of Charents, offering a beautiful view towards Mount Ararat, and continues to Garni – the only standing pagan temple in Armenia. About 20 minutes from Garni, you will visit Geghard, a remarkable monastery partially carved into the rock and included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. The route also includes a lavash baking masterclass, giving you a closer look at one of the most beautiful and beloved Armenian traditions. In Garni Canyon, you will then explore the impressive basalt formations known as the Symphony of Stones. Formed by ancient lava flows, these regular columnar rocks resemble a giant natural organ, which is why they are also called the "Basalt Organ". The final part of the tour leads to the "Blue pearl" of Armenia – Lake Sevan. From its northwestern shore, a marvelous view opens over the clear surface of the lake and the peninsula rising above it. Here you will visit Sevanavank, built in 874 by order of Mariam, daughter of King Ashot Bagratuni. A long day by any measure, and the fullest single route we run east of Yerevan.
